Redwood City Child Development Centers(Pre-School)
The Redwood City School District provides preschool and child care services
to promote healthy child development, support families and help prepare children
for success in school and life. We offer part-day and full-day preschool programs
for children 3 to 5 years of age, as well as after-school care for Kindergarten
and first graders. Our program serves over 720 preschool and
school age children in classrooms on seven public school campuses.
Features of our programs include:
Full-day classes are generally open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and operate year-round
to accommodate working parents.
Our 3-hour preschool classes have morning or afternoon schedules, and operate
on a school calendar.
School-age (after-school) care is open from the time school is out for
kindergarten/1st grade until 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on non-school days.
Many of our classrooms have bilingual staff and programming.
All children receive lunch and snacks through the USDA Child Care Food
Program.
Children with disabilities or other special needs are integrated in our
classrooms whenever possible.
As a public agency, we refrain from any type of religious instruction.
