Substitute Inquiries

RCSD Substitute pay is $125.00 per day; $140.00 per day for long term assignments.

Requirements for Substitute teachers in the Redwood City School District:

  1. Valid California Teaching Credential or ability to apply for an Emergency30-Day Substitute Credential
  2. CBEST card
  3. Bachelor's Degree verified by official transcript
  4. Current TB Test
  5. Fingerprints to be cleared by Department of Justice
  6. Copies of Social Security Card and Driver's License or a Passport
