I have been at at Orion since 1999 and Redwood City has been my home for 30 years. I have two children, Celine and Alexander, who feel free to give me ongoing advice about teaching techniques. Before teaching and while raising my family, I worked extensively with children at risk, both small children and as a counselor at a group home for teenagers, which my husband founded and directs.

Paula Bozicevic and I came to Orion the same year, each having our own 4/5 classroom. After a few years, we began to job share. I was drawn to Orion because of it’s small size, it’s commitment to teaching the whole child, and to a shared pedagogy of academic inquiry which embraces different learning styles. Orion is a wonderful place to work!
