Kindergarten / New Parent Registration
Parents from all over Redwood City enroll their students in Roosevelt School.
Our Kindergarten program is comprised of dedicated and experienced teachers. In 2009, they won the prestigious J. Russell Kent Award and in 2012, they won the SMCRA Literacy Award for their enriching literacy program. A challenging and nurturing academic program is at the core of the kindergarten classes. There are only ten - fifteen students per class during the first and last hour of each day, due to a staggered schedule. This helps ensure that each child receives the attention that he or she needs to succeed.
In the fall of 2010, Roosevelt implemented Project Based Learning school-wide. We will continue to focus on the core academics, with detailed emphasis on language arts. In addition, Project Based Learning permits teachers to provide in-depth investigations into social studies and science concepts/themes.
