Roosevelt Principal Honored


Roosevelt Principal Trish Girardi was honored at the Peninsula Interfaith Alliance (PIA) Annual Community Heroes Luncheon on April 23, 2010 for the great strides Roosevelt School is making toward improving education for all students, despite the severe budget cutbacks facing the district.  Principal Girardi was nominated by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for the innovative programs offered at Roosevelt, including project-based learning, a substitute teacher training pilot course, and an extensive volunteer tutoring program to improve literacy and math skills.
